Description
Constructed as a bomber-length jacket, the garment features a prominent turn-down collar and straight, unbanded cuffs on long sleeves. The body is built from blue mink pelts assembled in a banded layout combining burgundy sections, dark blue areas, and pale yellow arm stripes. Worn open during a performance in the photograph, the piece displays a front zipper closure hidden beneath a placket.
Horizontal construction means the pelts run across the body rather than vertically. Weighing 6 lbs, the garment utilizes dense pelts arranged in blocks of contrasting colour that wrap around the torso and sleeves.
Every garment is made and altered in our own New York workroom, and will be fitted before it leaves.
