Fur Boas & Stoles
A fur boa or stole is the quickest way to wear fur: over an evening dress, a wedding gown or a plain winter coat. Every piece here is real fur, made in our New York workroom. None is feather or faux.
The two are cut differently. A boa is a long, round rope of fur, usually fox, worn around the neck or draped over the shoulders; it has the most volume and movement. A stole is flat and wider, cut from mink, sable or chinchilla, and sits across the shoulders like a wrap.
Our fox boas come in natural white and in dyed colours, from pink and red to royal blue, kelly green and purple, some set with rhinestones. The stoles range from black velvet chinchilla to golden Russian sable and classic mink.
A boa is the easiest piece of fur to start with. It goes over a black dress or a leather jacket and changes the whole outfit in one move, and it packs into a bag for the evening. A stole is the more formal of the two, the one for a gala, an opera night or the cold walk from the car.
