Game Day Fur Jackets

The jacket underneath the stripes is the same on every page here. Mink worked in horizontal bands, so the body has a ribbed, softly padded surface that a vertical coat never gets. A full hood cut from the same skins, a centre zip that runs from the hem to the chin, and a hip-length hem that clears a wide jean or a legging. The stripes are not ribbon or fabric trim. They are strips of dyed mink pieced into the body, so the whole surface is one pile from the hood to the hem and the colours wear at the same rate as the fur around them.

Shop by city. New York’s orange and blue for the arena: the men’s and the women’s. Green, worn in Boston and by New York’s football crowd: the men’s and the women’s. Red and black, the colours Chicago and Atlanta share: the men’s and the women’s. New England’s navy and red for the stadium: the men’s and the women’s.

The men’s and the women’s are the same jacket in two cuts and two grounds, which is why the couple in every photograph is wearing a pair. White mink turns the stripes into an accent; black mink turns them into the light. Both are fitted here before they leave, a sleeve or a hem can be altered in an afternoon, and if your colours are not among the four, the same jacket can be striped to order for any team you follow.

Every jacket here is in the fur clearance sale for now, and like every fur we make they can come back to us each spring to be stored, cleaned and repaired by the people who made them.
