Three of you, one stripe, and a blanket for the stroller. This family green striped white mink set is the striped hooded jacket in the women’s cut, the men’s cut and a toddler’s, each in white skins worked in horizontal bands with a full hood, a zip to the chin, a band of green edged in black down every sleeve and both flap pockets crossed with the same colours. The child’s is cut on the same pattern as the grown-ups’, not shrunk from it.

The blanket in the photograph is the same idea sized for a stroller: black mink with a green and white border, made to order to go with the set. Three jackets means three fittings, and we do them together in our own workroom on West 30th Street; a child’s hem or sleeve is let down here as they grow, which is the reason to buy a small fur that was made to be altered.

The men’s jacket is also sold on its own as the green and black striped jacket on the Game Day collection. The family set is on our clearance rail for now, and every piece can come back to us each spring to be stored, cleaned and repaired by the people who made it.
