The pelt consists of a thick, insulating underfur protected by glossy guard hairs that shield the skin beneath from cold winds and precipitation. Unlike heavier furs that can feel cumbersome during travel or daily commutes, natural mink drapes cleanly along the shoulders and back. It packs down neatly, shakes dry after light snow, and maintains its structural integrity through years of regular rotation.

Our collection includes full-length overcoats, mid-length strollers, and shorter jackets designed for ease of movement. For men who want maximum coverage down to the calf or ankle, a full-length coat blocks drafts completely, while a stroller hits mid-thigh to offer practical comfort getting in and out of cars. We work in classic natural shades, from deep North American Blackglama and dark ranch mink to rich mahogany, cool sapphire grey, soft blue iris, and solid white. Natural dark mink suits formal evening wear and dark wool tailoring, whereas grey tones like sapphire and blue iris pair naturally with charcoal and navy business suits. White mink jackets offer a crisp, deliberate statement for colder winter gatherings. Every men’s mink coat in this collection can be altered directly on the premises to ensure exact sleeve length, shoulder fit, and hem placement. Marc Kaufman Furs has operated continuously in New York since 1870, building and maintaining garments in our own workroom on West 30th Street in Manhattan. When the season ends, we handle cold fur storage, professional cleaning, and conditioning to keep the pelts supple and prevent the leather from drying out.
