Description
The coat, not the jacket. This men’s purple trimmed white mink runs on past the hip to mid-thigh, and the extra length is where it earns its keep: three hours in an open stand in a Minneapolis January, hood up, hands in the pockets, and the cold stays outside. The band of royal purple beside gold runs the full length of both sides of the zip and once round each forearm, so the line is longer here than on any other piece in the set.
White skins worked vertically, a full hood that stands up around the face, a zip to the chin, and a straight hem that sits over a jean without bunching. Worn open over a gold turtleneck, as photographed, the two bands fall either side like lapels; zipped, they meet as one stripe. If the hip-length jacket is more your line, the same trim is on the women’s cut and the hem on this one can be shortened here.
Made in our own workroom on West 30th Street and fitted here. See the rest of our men’s furs, the women’s jacket and the pair on the Game Day collection, and bring it back each spring to be stored, cleaned and repaired. Sold on its own; the cap, scarf and sneakers are styling.
