Description
The moto jacket is one of the few garments whose shape is entirely made of hardware. Take the zips off a leather one and nothing is left but a plain blouson. Which is why almost nobody cuts this pattern in fur: every zip has to be set into a pelt that will not take a stitch the way hide does, and there are eight of them here.
This black mink biker jacket keeps all of it. The front closes on an offset zip that runs diagonally from hip to collarbone, so the lapel folds back on one side and sits flat on the other. Two zipped chest pockets, two more at the hip, a zip at each cuff, and epaulettes buttoned at each shoulder. The belt is real rather than decorative: it buckles at the waist and pulls the body in, which is what stops a fur jacket reading as bulky on a man.
