Description
Worn open, this men’s gold trimmed white mink shows its trim the way it was meant to: two bands of gold with a black edge falling either side of the open zip like the lapels of a coat, with the same band round each forearm. Zipped, they meet in the middle and read as one line. Either way the rest is plain white, worked in vertical skins, and the jacket carries the black and gold that Pittsburgh has worn for as long as anyone remembers.
A full hood in the same fur, a zip to the chin, a hem square at the hip so it sits over a black jean. The photograph has it over a black tee with a plaid scarf, which is the right temperature for it: the piece does the talking, the rest stays quiet.
Cut and fitted in our own workroom on West 30th Street. See the rest of our men’s furs, the women’s cut and the pair on the Game Day collection, and bring it back each spring to be stored, cleaned and repaired here. Sold on its own; the cap and scarf are styling.
