Navy does the work and lime does the talking. On this men’s lime trimmed white mink the band is a deep navy with a bright lime edge, down both sides of the zip from the hood to the hem and once round each forearm, and the pairing is Seattle’s own. Zipped to the chin the two lines meet as one; open over a green turtleneck and a tartan scarf, as photographed, they frame it. The rest is plain white, worked in vertical skins.

A full hood cut from the same fur, deep enough for a cap underneath. A hem square at the hip over a navy cargo trouser. Sleeves long enough to clear a watch. It is the jacket for the walk from the train to the gate in a Pacific drizzle, and for the three hours after.
