Two black furs, one gold stripe. This couples purple striped black mink set is the women’s and the men’s hooded jacket of the striped design, sold and fitted as one: black skins worked in horizontal bands, a full hood on each, a zip to the chin, a band of royal purple beside gold from shoulder to cuff on every sleeve, and both flap pockets crossed with the same two colours. It is photographed on two couples, one in their thirties and one who have been coming to games for forty years, because it belongs on both.

Black is the practical choice for a pair. It does not show a wet day, it goes over anything either of you already owns, and it makes the stripe the whole statement. Both jackets are fitted here, together, in our own workroom on West 30th Street, and a sleeve or a hem is altered while you wait.
