Brown Mink Coats

A brown mink coat remains the foundation of the American fur trade because mink pelts offer an even balance of dense underfur, resilient guard hair, and flexible leather. It is a pelt that tolerates years of regular winter wear while holding its natural luster and supple hand. When left natural, mink creates a durable barrier against freezing wind and driving snow. When sheared, the longer guard hairs are sheared away to reveal a velvety, low-pile underfur that reduces garment bulk and yields a lighter layer for transitional seasons. The skins take tailoring cleanly, whether blocked in traditional vertical drops, worked in modern horizontal bands, or detailed with contrasting textures.

The designs in this collection reflect the versatility of brown mink across an array of lengths and cuts. We craft full-length coats, walking strollers, casual jackets, and sheared vests. Silhouettes include full swing cuts, contemporary hi-low hemlines, belted wraps, and comfortable kimono sleeves, with patterns graded for standard through plus sizes. Functional features include full-skin hoods, fox fur collar trims, soft shawl collars, bell sleeves, and drawstring waists that cinch against drafts. Color choices range from pale whiskey brown and rich mahogany to deep dark brown and black-brown, as well as grooved stripes and multi-tone combinations of white, taupe, and brown.

Any brown mink coat selected from our floor can be custom fitted and altered to your measurements by our in-house furriers before delivery. In the seasons that follow, our workshop provides on-site cold storage, specialized fur cleaning, glazing, tear repairs, and complete remodeling services to ensure your garment lasts for decades.
