Description
Camel is the daytime one. This camel mink coat with stand collar is a warm, even tan that goes with every neutral you own and with black most of all, which is why the buttons are black: a single diagonal row from the collar down and across to the hip that draws the line of the coat the way a belt would, without a belt. It is the colour of a good coat, on a mink.
The construction is the same across the four: a high stand collar, a seamed waist, three buttons at each cuff, vertical skins that keep the line long, and a hem cut short over one hip and long to the knee on the other, so the front closes on a slant. Over a black tight and a thigh boot it is dressed; over a jean it is a Saturday.
Made and fitted in our own workroom on West 30th Street. It sits with our brown mink coats and the rest of our mink coats, and it can come back to us each spring to be stored, cleaned and repaired. Sold on its own; the bag, boots and headband are styling.
