Blush Pink Mink Coat with Stand Collar, Asymmetrical Hem and Button Closure 8044

Description

Blush is a colour that has to be dyed evenly or not at all, and this blush pink mink coat with stand collar is dyed evenly: one pale, warm pink from the top of the collar to the point of the hem, with the guard hair lifting to ivory in the light. The black buttons are the only contrast, a single diagonal row from the collar down and across to the hip, and they turn a soft colour into a sharp piece.

The cut is the same as the black: a stand collar high enough to frame the jaw, a seamed waist, three small buttons at each cuff, and a hem that falls short over one hip and long to the knee on the other, so the coat closes on a slant and moves like a wrap. Over black tights and a black boot, as photographed, the pink is the only colour in the frame.

Made and fitted in our own workroom on West 30th Street. See it beside the rest of our coloured furs, it is on the clearance rail for now, and a pale dyed piece is better for an annual clean, which we do in our own vaults. Sold on its own; the bag, boots and headband are styling.
