Description
Whiskey mink, worked directionally: every pelt runs the same way, so the fur falls in unbroken vertical lines from the shoulder to the floor. That is the whole design of the coat. Vertical lines carry the eye down, and at full length there is nothing to interrupt them.
Whiskey is a warm golden brown with red in it — lighter than mahogany, livelier than a natural demi-buff, and it moves between the two as the light changes. The collar is a rounded shawl that stands at the neck and closes with a single clasp at the throat. The cuffs are deep and turned back, worked across the direction of the body so they catch the light against the run of the skirt. Nine pounds, carried down through the length rather than on the shoulders.
