Description
Vertical let out dark brown mink pelts form the body of this full length coat, finished with a shawl collar, long sleeves with fur-trimmed cuffs, and side pockets featuring matching fur button details. Worn buttoned to the neck, it reaches down to the lower shin above the ankles.
Let out means each pelt is cut into diagonal strips and resewn into a long narrow band, which lets the pelts drape down the full length of the body, while sheared means the guard hair is removed and the underfur is cut to one even depth. This garment weighs 9 lbs.
This piece is made and altered in our own New York workroom, and will be fitted before it leaves.
