Sapphire Mink Coats

Our current selection demonstrates how this natural fur behaves across different cuts, weights, and treatments. We build full-length coats with directional pelt work that flows naturally with movement, alongside mid-length strollers featuring horizontal body designs, kimono sleeves, and belted waists. For different textures, we work with fully sheared mink or sheared bodies set with natural long-hair inserts. We also construct shorter jackets with horizontal stripes or diamond mink patterning, sometimes framing the neckline with silver fox hoods or matching fox collars. For men, we produce sapphire mink strollers and zip-front bomber jackets finished with chinchilla fur collars, as well as lightweight knit mink fur capes fastened with buttons and leather belts.

Marc Kaufman Furs has worked from West 30th Street in Manhattan since 1870, and every coat in our collection passes through our on-site workroom. Our furriers select and hand-match each pelt to ensure consistency in color density and hair length across every seam. Because we build and maintain our garments under the same roof, any sapphire mink coat purchased here can be custom fitted to your measurements before you take it home. In the years that follow, our workshop handles seasonal cold storage, hand cleaning, conditioning, repair work, and eventual remodeling should you ever wish to alter the length, sleeves, or silhouette of your piece.
