Description
The colour mink was born in. This chocolate brown plush mink jacket is a deep, natural brown with the lighter underfur showing through the pile where it moves, and on a shape this full that movement is the point: the puffed sleeves and the flared hem catch the light on every step. Two buckled straps pull the waist in; everything above and below them is volume.
The collar is a wide shawl that opens to a V, so it frames a bare neck or a fine chain rather than fighting a scarf. The sleeves are gathered into a narrow cuff at the wrist. It stops at the hip, which keeps the proportion short and the legs long, and it was photographed over a brown leather skirt and a matching boot, one colour from collar to heel.
Made and fitted in our own workroom on West 30th Street. It sits with our brown mink coats and our mink jackets, it is on the clearance rail for now, and it comes back to us each spring for cleaning and cold storage. Sold on its own; the skirt, bag and boots are styling.
