Description
Ivory shows the shape best, and this ivory plush mink jacket is all shape: a wide shawl collar, sleeves cut full from the shoulder and gathered into a narrow cuff, a waist pulled in by two buckled straps, and a hem that flares out over the hip. On a dark fur those lines are felt; on ivory every one of them is seen, with the shadow of each seam drawn in the pile.
The pile is deep and brushed, warmer than an ivory this short has any right to be, and the collar opens to a V that suits a bare neck and a pair of earrings. It was photographed over an ivory leather skirt and an ivory boot, which is the bridal version; over black it is a different jacket altogether, and a very good one.
Made and fitted in our own workroom on West 30th Street. It belongs with our white mink coats and our mink jackets, and a pale piece is better for an annual clean, which we do in our own vaults. Sold on its own; the skirt, bag and boots are styling.
