Description
A jacket with a waist. On this blush pink plush mink jacket the belt is not an afterthought: two straps buckle into the body at the narrowest point, the skins above them bloom into a wide shawl collar and full puffed sleeves, and the skins below flare out over the hip like a peplum. In pale blush the shape reads as softness; the buckles and the gathered cuffs are what keep it sharp.
The pile is deep, which is what plush means here: a longer, denser mink than a sleek jacket carries, brushed so the light sits in it. The sleeves are cut full from the shoulder and gathered into a narrow cuff, so they stand away from the arm and then finish clean. Hip length, worn open to the V of the collar over a leather skirt and a knee boot, as photographed.
Made and fitted in our own workroom on West 30th Street. See it beside the rest of our coloured furs and our mink jackets, and remember a pale dyed piece is better for an annual clean, which we do in our own vaults. Sold on its own; the skirt, bag and boots are styling.
