Description
Burgundy on a plush pile is the richest thing this shape does. On this burgundy plush mink jacket the deep wine dye goes to the root of the fur, so the colour holds in the shadows under the collar and inside the puffed sleeves instead of going black there, and the buckled straps at the waist are dyed to match. It is a jacket for the evening that happens to be warm enough for the afternoon.
Same cut as the rest of the four: a wide shawl collar opening to a V, sleeves cut full and gathered into a narrow cuff, a waist pulled in by two straps, a hem that flares over the hip. Hip length. Over a burgundy leather skirt and boot, as photographed, it is one colour head to toe; over black it is the one bright thing in the room.
Made and fitted in our own workroom on West 30th Street. It belongs with our red mink coats and our mink jackets, it is on the clearance rail for now, and it comes back to us each spring for cleaning and cold storage. Sold on its own; the skirt, bag and boots are styling.
