This Knicks colors fox fur jacket is built in electric blue and burnt orange, with NEW YORK banded across the front and KNICKS across the back – every letter and every stripe cut and inlaid in dyed fox fur by hand. Not printed, not appliqued. Cropped at the hip, full sleeves, a stand collar you can pull up against a February wind on 33rd Street.

Inlay work at this level is the hardest thing a furrier does. Each letter is a separate piece of fox pelt, cut to shape and joined so the seams vanish into the pile – which is why a lettered jacket takes days of bench work, and why you will not find a second one like it anywhere in the city.

Wear it to the Garden, wear it to dinner after, wear it over jeans and sneakers exactly as it is styled here. Orange and blue fox fur under arena lights is its own kind of entrance – this is the jacket people photograph in the concourse.
