Gold is the colour that white mink was waiting for. On this women’s gold trimmed white mink the band is a warm yellow gold with a black edge, down both sides of the zip from the hood to the hem and once round each forearm, and against the white it glows the way the stadium lights do after dark. It is Pittsburgh’s pairing, and it also happens to be the richest of the six trims this design comes in.

The body is white skins worked vertically, so the jacket hangs straight and stays sleek through the waist with the hands in the pockets, which is how it was photographed. A full hood cut from the same fur, a zip to the chin, a hem at the hip. Over black leather leggings and a lace-up boot it is a night out; over a jersey it is a Sunday.

Made and fitted in our own workroom on West 30th Street. It sits with our mink jackets, the men’s cut and the pair are on the Game Day collection, and it can come back to us each spring to be stored, cleaned and repaired. Sold on its own; the hat and scarf are styling.
