Description

Vertical pelt placement shapes this American lynx jacket, aligning the pelts through the body down to a mid-thigh hem. A generous shawl collar frames the neckline in dense white fur, transitioning into straight sleeves and vertical slip pockets. The front panels contrast the spotted, tawny back sections with paler belly fur along the front closure and cuffs.

Directional pelt alignment means the furs all run one way, allowing the guard hairs to lie flat and fall smoothly down the body. Cut to stroller length, which reaches between the hip and mid-thigh, the garment provides thorough thermal coverage without restricting movement. The high loft of the underfur provides considerable insulation while keeping the overall piece exceptionally light to wear.

Each piece is made and altered in our own New York workroom, and will be fitted before it leaves.
