One coat, two silhouettes, and the buttons decide which. Fastened to the stand-up collar this burgundy mink stroller falls as a single unbroken column from throat to knee. Left open it hangs as two straight panels with whatever is underneath showing between them, which is why it works over jeans as readily as over a dress.
Very few long furs do both. A wrap coat only works closed and a swing cut only works open; a straight front with a collar that holds its own shape is the one construction that does not commit you.
