A full length pink and white fox coat from the pieces we have made for performers, this one for the R&B singer Monica.
The construction is pink worked against natural white — the two set side by side down the length so the pale panels lift the colour rather than muting it. White fox is the harder half of that pairing: it shows every inconsistency, so the skins have to be matched far more carefully than a single-colour coat would need.
Full length, with the guard hair left long. Stage furs are cut with a little more movement than street coats — they are made to be seen from a distance and in motion, and that changes how a furrier handles the sweep.
