Persian lamb is a different animal from the long-haired furs — tight, flat curls with a hard sheen, closer to astrakhan than to anything fluffy. It holds a strong dye extremely well because the curl catches light in facets rather than absorbing it, which is why a yellow like this reads as bold rather than muddy. It is also the most structured fur there is: a Persian garment keeps its shape the way a tailored coat does.
Stroller length — roughly three-quarter, hitting mid-thigh. It is the cut that works over almost anything, which is why it has outlasted most fashions in fur.
About the piece
