Description
Winter weddings have a standing problem: the dress is finished and then the coat ruins it. Anything full length swallows a gown, and a wrap slides off the shoulder every time you turn round. This ivory mink jacket answers both, being short enough to end above the widest part of a skirt and structured enough to stay where it is put.
The colour is a warm off-white with a champagne cast rather than a hard bridal white, which photographs far more kindly beside skin and beside candlelight. It is cut to the waist and worn open, with a small rounded collar and three-quarter sleeves that flare into a soft flounce below the elbow, wide enough that a bouquet or a pair of long gloves passes through without a fight.
Ordered for a date, it can be altered to fit upstairs on West 30th Street, and there is time to do that properly if the date is more than a fortnight out. See the rest of our mink jackets and what else is reduced in the clearance sale, and afterwards send it to us to be cleaned and put into cold storage rather than leaving it in a wardrobe until the next occasion.
