Fuchsia Mink Coat with Fox Fur Collar and Hem Border 7591

Description

You do not buy this coat to blend in. A fuchsia mink coat this loud only works if the dye is perfect, and this one is: a hot magenta pink that goes right to the root of the hair, the same tone on the mink body and on the fox, so nothing looks added on afterwards. In the snow it is the only colour for a hundred yards.

The body is worked in vertical panels that ripple across the fur and catch the light in bands as you move. Everything that frames it is fox: a vast shawl collar that comes up around the jaw and falls to the waist, deep cuffs at each wrist, and two full tiers of it laid around the hem so the coat finishes with weight and swings when you walk. Full length, to the ankle, over a boot.

Dyed, cut and fitted in our own workroom on West 30th Street. It sits with the rest of our coloured furs and our full length mink coats, and a dyed piece should come back to us each spring to be stored, cleaned and repaired.
