Description
A colour this loud lives or dies on the dye. Cheap fuchsia goes chalky at the guard hair within a season and ends up on the wrong side of pink. This fuchsia pink hooded mink jacket is dyed through to a saturated magenta that stays even from the hood to the hem — the part you cannot judge from a photograph, and the part we will not compromise on.
Everything structural is in matching leather: the placket the two-way zip runs on, the bands across the patch pockets, and the wide cuffs that flare and turn back. Against a colour this strong the leather does the work of calming it down, which is what makes the jacket wearable rather than a costume.
Fitted in our West 30th Street workroom before it goes anywhere. See it with the rest of the colours we dye, or every fur jacket we make. A dyed piece in particular is better for an annual clean, and we store and clean in our own building. Bag and boots are styling only.
