Indigo Fox Cape with Zipper 2156

Description

Indigo fox pelts run vertically the full depth of this cape, silver-grey with the darker guard hair left long, so the surface moves in bands as the wearer does. A deep border of the same fox finishes the hem and the wide elbow-length sleeves, and a zip closes it to a high standing collar.

Indigo is a natural fox colour, not a dye: a cool grey with a blue cast under the silver, which is why the pelts read darker at the tips than at the underfur. Running them vertically rather than across keeps the length unbroken and lets a cape drape from the shoulder instead of standing away from it.

Made and altered in our own workroom in the New York fur district, where Marc Kaufman Furs has worked since 1870. Every piece is fitted to you before it leaves us.
