Description
Seven-eighths is a full-length coat that stops just above the ankle. It reads as long without dragging, and it is easier to wear over boots than a true floor length.
Sheared mink has the guard hair removed and the underfur cut to one even depth, so the surface is dense and smooth and closer to velvet than to fur. That even pile is why a saturated colour like magenta reads flat and true across the whole coat. Nine pounds.
This is altered in our own New York workroom before it ships. We take in, let out, shorten and reline, and the fitting is part of the price.

betty thomas –
Very polished mink look, with plenty of visual character.
