Description
The pattern in the body is not printed on and it is not an accident of the light. The skins are worked so the pile runs in alternating directions, which throws a wave across the garment that moves as you do. It is slow work and it is the reason this plus size fuchsia mink jacket photographs as something with depth rather than as a flat block of colour.
The collar is the other half of it. A deep shawl of fox, dyed to the same shade as the body and left long, so the soft guard hair sits against the short sculptured pile beneath it and the two textures argue in a useful way. It rolls open across the shoulder or turns up against the wind, and either way the face is framed by it.
