Constructed as a voluminous cape, this piece features a wide shawl collar that frames the shoulders and drapes down the front. The garment is rendered in bright purple fox pelts arranged horizontally to emphasize the dense, plush texture of the material. Deep arm openings allow for easy movement while keeping the draped silhouette intact across the upper body.
Horizontal construction means the pelts run across the body rather than vertically, creating bold bands of uniform texture and width. This specific layout allows the thick skins to stack cleanly, supporting the heavy 4 lbs weight of the cape without losing its structured round shape. The dense pile provides substantial warmth and presence.
Every garment is made and altered in our own New York workroom, and will be fitted before it leaves.
