Description
A full Finnish raccoon collar featuring dense guard hairs and thick underfur is shown worn draped over the shoulders. The white pelts are tipped with burgundy along the edges, creating a distinct two-tone contrast around the neckline. There are no cuffs, sleeves, or fastenings visible on this accessory.
The substantial volume of the collar is supported by a combined weight of 6 lbs, giving it a heavy and protective drape. Because the pelts are worked directional, all the hair flows uniformly downward to maintain a clean appearance. This piece relies on the natural thickness of the winter pelts to hold its rounded shape.
Each piece is made and altered in our own New York workroom, and will be fitted before it leaves.
