Description
Black mink runs the length of this jacket to just above the knee, gathered at the waist by a self belt, with black fox worked into the shawl collar, the deep cuffs and a band across the hem.
Two black furs together only work if their textures differ: the mink is short and flat, the fox long and open, so the collar and cuffs read as separate pieces rather than as one dark mass. A shawl collar is cut in one continuous piece with no notch, which is what lets it roll softly instead of standing up.
Made and altered in our own workroom in the New York fur district, where Marc Kaufman Furs has worked since 1870. Every piece is fitted to you before it leaves us.
