Description
Grey is the hardest shade to grade, because there is nowhere to hide. A warm brown forgives a band that sits slightly out of sequence; on a grey degrade horizontal mink coat the eye reads the step instantly. The run here moves from a pale silver across the shoulders through pewter to charcoal at the hem, and every band was matched by hand before a single skin was cut.
It also happens to be the most useful of the three. A shaded grey behaves like a neutral from a distance and only shows the gradient close up, so it goes with far more than a solid colour does. Full length to the ankle, with an oversized hood lined in the same fur and a self-tie belt at the waist.
Cut and fitted at our West 30th Street workroom before it leaves. Compare it with the whole run of full length coats, or the other shades we work in. Every piece can be stored, cleaned and remodelled here for as long as you own it. Shown with a matching bag, sold separately.
