Description

A white mink jacket built in horizontal bands, so the fur runs across the body rather than down it. The seams catch the light in rows, and the cut reads shorter and broader than a directional coat does. It closes with a centre zip, stands up at the neck, and belts at the waist.

Horizontal work takes more skins and far more seaming than a straight let-out coat, which is what puts the fur into that banded relief instead of letting it lie flat. At six pounds it wears like a jacket, not a coat, and it stays comfortable through an evening indoors.
