Description
One button is harder to make than six. With a row of fastenings the front edges hold each other in line all the way down; with a single closure at the throat, everything below it hangs on how well the two front edges were cut, and any drift shows immediately. This blush rose pink ruffled mink jacket is built to hang open from that one point and still meet cleanly.
The button is a crystal set in metal, placed at the base of the plain round neckline where a collar would otherwise begin. Below it the front falls unbroken to a peplum frill at the hem, and the elbow-length sleeves end in a ruffle cut from the same pelt.
