Description
A stand-up collar sits closer to the face than any other kind, which matters more in a pale fur than a dark one. White throws light upward: it fills the shadow under the jaw and the hollow of the cheek, and at this height it does that from about two inches away. It is the single most flattering thing a coat can do and nobody buys one for the reason.
