New Feature by Marc Kaufman Furs
SEE IT ON YOU.
A fur vest is the piece you'll actually reach for — no sleeves to fuss with, easy to layer over a sweater, a shirt, or a leather jacket, and flattering on nearly every figure. Marc Kaufman Furs makes real fur vests in mink, fox, rex rabbit, and chinchilla, cut from the same premium pelts as our coats, in New York City since 1870.
Choose a cropped fur vest for an easy everyday layer, a long fur vest for drama and coverage, or a sheared-mink vest for velvet texture. We offer natural shades and dyed colors, plus reversible and belted styles. A fur vest also makes an ideal first fur and a giftable luxury.
Every vest is selected and finished in our own workroom and backed by in-house cleaning and storage. Most can be sized or custom-made. Request a quote, or visit our West 30th Street showroom to try them on.
A real fur vest is incredibly easy to style because it is the ultimate luxury layering piece. For a chic, casual daytime look, layer it over a fitted long-sleeve turtleneck, a lightweight leather jacket, or a cashmere sweater paired with denim and boots. For the evening, a sleek mink or fox vest looks stunning layered over a tailored dress or a chic jumpsuit, adding instant texture and glamour to your outfit.
Yes, fur vests are exceptionally warm because they provide dense, natural insulation directly to your core. They are perfect as a primary outerwear piece during brisk autumn and mild winter days. For deep freezing temperatures, a fur vest is an excellent layering accessory that can be worn under a larger overcoat or over a heavy knit sweater to provide maximum warmth without the bulk of heavy sleeves.
