A stroller is the furrier's name for a mid-length coat — longer than a jacket, shorter than a full-length, usually falling around three-quarter length or to the knee. It's the most versatile length in fur: warm enough for a real winter, but easy to drive in, sit in, and wear from the office to dinner. Our mink strollers are cut in New York City by Marc Kaufman Furs, furriers since 1870.
Choose from natural mink shades — ranch, mahogany, whiskey, sapphire — and finishes from classic let-out to sheared and knit mink. Swing cuts, flared hems, and hooded styles give the mid-length silhouette movement. Because pelts are matched by hand, every mink stroller is one of a kind.
A mid-length mink is the coat most women reach for most often, so it's worth buying well. We match and cut every piece in house and provide cleaning, glazing, and cold storage to keep it beautiful for decades. In fur fashion, a "stroller" refers to a mid-length coat that typically falls right around the mid-thigh or just above the knee. It is longer than a standard fur jacket but shorter than a full-length, floor-sweeping coat. The name "stroller" comes from its design: it provides excellent warmth for your core and upper legs while allowing for easy, unrestricted walking and movement.
Yes, a mink stroller is arguably the most practical fur coat style for everyday winter wear. Its mid-length cut makes it incredibly easy to get in and out of cars without sitting on heavy folds of fur, and it pairs just as beautifully with casual jeans and boots as it does with formal business attire. It delivers the luxurious warmth of real mink in a highly convenient, wearable silhouette.
