Shearing mink transforms it: the guard hairs are cut down to a dense, velvety pile that feels closer to plush suede than to traditional fur, and it takes deep color beautifully. This full-length coat uses that rich black surface as a canvas for genuine chinchilla, run down the front in a tuxedo panel and repeated at the cuffs. Chinchilla is the densest, softest fur on earth, and against sheared mink the contrast is something you feel as much as see.
