- There are many reasons why a country girl from Savannah,Georgia would want a fur coat. Primarily,I wanted a fur coat because of the celebrity like mystique such a coat generates in the minds of on-lookers. Also,hailing from a warm southern climate year round ,never made owning a fur coat practical or necessary. Life is different in Philadelphia,Pennsylvania. There is clearly a seasonal climate change. The spring and summer are wonderful and warm. The fall and winter are brisk and cold. This is the perfect place to sport a fur coat. I just purchased a ranch mink fur jacket with a silver fox fur shawl collar from Marc Kaufman Furs. Not only does it check the box for practicality,but also for trendsetting fashion. I am happy to be in Philadelphia. I am even happier when I have a chance to wear my beautiful,warm fur coat to places like the Philadelphia Museum and the Fillmore Philadelphia concert hall.
