Description
A plus size white fox jacket that does what the best short furs do — it makes an ordinary pair of jeans look deliberate. The body is built in horizontal rings, each band set against the next so the pelts run across the figure rather than down it. That construction is the whole point: horizontal banding gives a short jacket width and presence without adding bulk through the middle.
The collar is a soft shawl that stands away from the neck and frames the face, and the sleeves carry the same ringed banding straight through to the cuff. The colour is a clean natural white, unbleached and left as it came, so the fur keeps the depth and the faint silver cast that bleaching flattens out.
This is a genuinely generous cut. A plus size white fox jacket should be made for a fuller figure rather than graded up from a sample size, with room through the shoulder, bust and upper arm where a jacket usually pulls first — which is exactly why it sits properly closed and still moves when it is open.
Styled here on the Avenue des Champs-Élysées with black denim, boots and the Freedom Saddle in Black Stardust by Keis to Joi — a small structured saddle bag whose gold hardware and flecked black finish pick up the warmth in the fur without competing with it.
Every plus size white fox jacket we make is cut and finished by hand in our New York workroom, where we have been furriers since 1870. See more in plus size and tall fur coats, browse the rest of our white fox coats, or read our fur coat buying guide if you are choosing your first.
