Description
Pale dye is where most colour work falls down. Laid on the tip it looks right in the shop and grey at the parting; taken all the way through, it reads as one clean shade however the pile moves. This blush mink jacket is the second kind, a low warm pink that sits nearer to skin than to a flower and holds its tone in daylight as well as under a lamp.
The shape is cropped and effectively collarless: a narrow stand rolls back on itself, the front stays open edge to edge, and the body finishes at the waist. From the elbow down each sleeve opens into a wide flounce, gathered in at the top so the fullness begins exactly where the arm narrows. Photographed over the matching camisole, though it does the same job over a plain slip dress or a white shirt.
It is an unusually forgiving colour to own. Grey, camel, navy and every shade of denim all take it, which is not true of the reds. Browse the rest of our mink jackets, the whole of our coloured furs, and what is currently marked down in the clearance sale.
