Description

The reason most full-length furs sit in a wardrobe is that they are built for evening and there are not many evenings. Photographed here the way it is meant to be used: open, over jeans and flat-heeled boots, on an ordinary afternoon. This dark brown full length mink coat is cut to work that way rather than to be rescued for December.

Worn open it becomes two vertical panels either side of whatever is underneath, which is why it flatters over denim instead of swamping it, and the ruffled hem stops the open front reading as a dressing gown. Buttoned at the throat it closes into a column. Both are deliberate; the single covered button is what makes them possible.
