Description
This is the fur to own if you have never owned one. Sheared rex is light, short-piled and far less precious than it looks, which makes it the one coat in the shop that can be thrown on to walk the dog and still be the best thing on the street. The beige rex rabbit bomber jacket is cut for exactly that.
The body is worked in horizontal bands that meet in a shallow chevron down the centre front, so the pile changes direction at the seam and the light breaks across it rather than running flat. Sheared to an even short pile throughout, it takes weather far better than a long-haired fur and brushes clean with a cloth. Zipped up the middle, banded at the hem and cuff, and finished at the hip.
The hood carries the one piece of long hair on the garment: a deep fox ruff, a shade paler than the body, cut generously enough to actually shelter the face when it is up rather than sitting flat behind the neck.
