Mink is one of the most durable pelts a furrier works with, known for its dense underfur and resilient guard hairs that shed light moisture and withstand constant movement. In our West 30th Street workroom, we assemble these jackets skin by skin. The pelts hold their structure across decades when properly handled, whether left with their natural guard hair for a deep, lustrous finish or sheared down to a low-pile velvet texture that reduces bulk and drapes close to the body.

The silhouettes in this collection range from waist-length bombers and structured belted pieces to hip-length strollers and fuller swing jackets. We build horizontal pelting for clean, contemporary lines, as well as traditional let-out arrangements that run vertically from shoulder to hem. Several pieces incorporate full skin hoods, contrasting collars such as silver fox or dyed chinchilla, and mixed textures including suede, metal studs, and pony hair. You will find men’s styles built with broader shoulders and straight cuts alongside women’s jackets styled with subtle flares or tailored waists.

Natural selections include deep Blackglama, rich mahogany, ranch demi, and black cross, which displays natural dark markings across a light ground. Our furriers fit each jacket directly to your frame, altering sleeve lengths, hemlines, and closures on site. When the winter ends, you can return your jacket to us on 30th Street for temperature-controlled cold storage, specialized drum cleaning, conditioning, and eventual remodeling or repair as your wardrobe changes over the years.
